How to Install Windows XP on SATA without a Floppy.

Hello,
The main big problem to start installing Windows XP on a new notebook is the SATA Hard Drive that comes with it has not built-in drivers, we have to add them via floppy, but in the most of cases, we won have a floppy able to mount into the laptop, so, what we do?

We have to integrated sata drivers into xp cd. Otherwise, our notebook could not recognize our hdd and we cant install xp.

What we need?

1pcs empty cd.
Sata drivers. You can download it from here.(zip pass is "www.notebook.gen.tr")

Note: If you will use windows xp 64 bit version you must download this. Sata drivers for windows xp 64bit.
Microsoft .net framework. you can download it from here.
A software which called Nlite. You can download nlite from here.

Please follow my instructions carefully.

Download an unzip sata drivers a folder. (My folders name is sata drivers)nbsp;
Create a folder somewhere on your hard drive to copy the windows source files into. I called mine XP_Source but you can use whatever name you prefer. Just make sure there is adequate space on your hard drive to hold the files.
Copy the full content from the distribution cd into this folder
Start nLite.
Welcome screen shows you which version of nLite you are running and allows you to choose an alternate language.
- To continue click on Next.
We must now direct nLite to the folder which contains the windows installation files.
To do this Click on Browse. And choose Xp_Source folder. Click next
Click next without doing anythink.
Chose driver and bootable ISO by mouse and click next.
Click insert gt; single driver and choose iaachi.inf from you sata driver folder.
Select all drivers with shift or ctrl button and click OK an Next.
You will show a message "Do yo want to start the process". Click Yes and wait.
Click next.
Mode: Direct burn , Label: write your own label , Burn speed: Write slowly 10x is enough. Then click next and finish.

Hướng dẫn cài đặt XP trên laptop sử dụng ổ SATA

A - Đầu tiên bác nên chuẩn bị các soft sau:

(1) Bộ XP theo ý thích (Home / SP2) => Copy toàn bộ đĩa Win vào máy (vd: D:\XP)

(2) Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

(3) nLite (Free): chương trình chỉnh sửa bô cài Windows , thêm driver cần thiết, thay đổi thông số cài đặt.....

(4) UltraISO

(5) Driver SATA (Intel® Matrix Storage Manager/ Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver)

(6) Driver laptop (VGA / Lan / Modem / Sound / Wireless / Reader...)

B - Tiến Hành

- Giải nén file (5) f6flpy32_57.zip , ta có file F6flpy32_57.exe

- Chuột phải vào F6flpy32_57.exe => Extract Here => temp.IMA

- Mở UltraISO => Open => Browse đến file temp.IMA => Extract To đến thư mục lưu trữ (6)

- Mở nLite , bấm Next => Browse đến thư mục chứa bộ XP (1) => Next (2 lần)

- Bấm vào Drivers và Bootable ISO => Next

- Chọn Insert => Multiple driver folder

- Browse đến fonder chứa Driver (6) => OK. Chọn All => OK

- Đánh dấu chọn vào Textmode driver. Select toàn bộ driver phía dưới và bấm OK.

- Bấm Next => Yes để add driver

- Bấm Next để hoàn tất phần add driver

- Chọn Make ISO => đặt tên file và chọn nơi Save => Bắt đầu quá trình tạo file ISO

- Vào thư mục chứa file trên, chuột phải UltraISO => Burn to dics...

- Nhét CD trắng vào => Burn => Xong

Bây giờ các bác có đĩa cài XP dùng cho máy sử dụng ổ SATA. Còn 1 cách khác để cài driver cho SATA, các bác chép phần driver vào đĩa mềm 1 mê 4, cài XP, đến lúc nó hỏi xxx gì đó thì cắm FDD vào, nhét đĩa và bấm F6

.

+ Lưu ý: (chỉ dành cho ai xài HP Compaq)

- Thứ 1 là dòng HP Compaq sau này hơi chuối, driver VGA (NVIDIA / ATI ) các bác lên trang chủ của HP mà down. Lên trang chủ của 2 thằng kia, nhập đúng model... khi down về máy ko thể nào nhận được.

- Thứ 2: trước khi cài driver cho sound (Conexant High Definition Audio) và Modem (Conexant HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP) thì bắt buộc phải cài Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio thì máy mới nhận 2 driver kia.

- Thứ 3: sau khi hoàn tất mọi quá trình nên tìm HP Quick Lauch Button để cái dàn đèn xanh lè + remote nó chạy, QuickPlay Boot để chạy DVD Offline (chỉ áp dụng cho bác nào không có đĩa recovery và lỡ tay format HDD )

Tất cả mấy thứ trên là kinh nghiệm tìm kiếm và lần mò trên mạng để chữa bệnh táy máy, sờ bậy của em.
